Così tante cose da festeggiare insieme, miei cari amici.

Dopo un anno a dir poco fiacco, e dopo tanto silenzio, io non sapevo bene come cominciare oggi...

Quindi ho deciso di lasciare semplicemente parlare le immagini.
Nonostante la cattiva salute, i malumori e le difficoltà, il Robin Nest Cottage ha piano piano preso vita, e io sono molto soddisfatta del risultato, anche se, con la mia mania di perfezionismo e la mia incontentabile passione per i  dettagli, c'è ancora molto da fare.
Per prima cosa, avevo la necessità di focalizzare quale fosse il mio intento principale: quale anima dare a questa casa?
Sempre combattuta tra il realismo e i sogni, ho deciso di lasciarmi andare alla fantasia, creando una casetta a misura dei miei desideri. Pazienza se qualcosa manca, e qualcosa è in più; pazienza se tutto è rosa e luminoso, come non potrà mai essere nella vita reale (qualcuno dirà "per fortuna!" LOL); pazienza se ci sono tante incongruenze.
In fondo, questa è solo una casa delle bambole, che deve dare gioia a chi la crea e a chi la guarda.
Questa è la casa in cui io vorrei abitare se fossi una bambola e non avessi bisogno di energia elettrica per far funzionare gli elettrodomestici, o acqua nella vasca da bagno, o tutte quelle altre cose tremendamente pratiche e noiose.
No no no: questa è una casetta magica, in cui tutto può succedere, in cui accogliere gli amici, in cui condividere qualche ora spensierata, proprio perchè fuori da qui tutto è tremendamente reale.

So many things to celebrate, my dear friends

After a year, to say the least weak, and after a long silence, I was not sure how to get started today. So I decided to just let the pictures speak.
Despite the bad health, discontent and difficulties, the Robin Nest Cottage has slowly come to life, and I am  satisfied with the result, though, with my habit of perfectionism, and my insatiable passion for detail, there is still much to do.
First, I needed to focus on what my main purpose: what soul give to this house?
Still torn between realism and dreams, I decided to let me go to the imagination, creating a small house in measure of my desires. Never mind if something is missing, and something more; patient if everything is pink and bright, as it can never be in real life (some will say "fortunately" LOL); patience though there are many inconsistencies.
In the end, this is just a dollhouse, which must give joy to those who create and those who watch it.
This is the house where I would live if I were a doll and I did not need electricity to run appliances, or water in the bathtub, or all those other things tremendously practical and boring.
No no no, this is a magical house, where anything can happen, where welcome friends, to share a few carefree hours, just because out here everything is terribly real.

Dining and living room

Nei prossimi posts, passeremo ad osservare tutti i particolari in ogni ambiente (quelli presenti e quelli futuri); oggi, divertitevi ad osservare l'insieme, ragionando su qualche considerazione.

La prima camera è la piccola sala da pranzo che funge anche da salotto.
Volendo dare molto spazio alla cucina adiacente, ho posizionato la parte divisoria al limite sinistro della porta d'ingresso, perciò lo spazio è davvero piccolo e stretto, più profondo che largo. Arredarlo è stata davvero una sfida, perchè VOLEVO un caminetto, un tavolo con almeno due sedie e che rimanesse ancora spazio per creare una parvenza di ingresso. Ambiziosa e insaziabile, direte voi...
Ma le soluzioni mi si sono offerte poco per volta (vedremo in dettaglio) e questo, per ora, è il risultato.

The first room is the small dining room which also serves as living room.
Wanting to give much space to the adjacent kitchen, I placed the divider to the left edge of the front door, so space is very small and narrow, deeper than it is wide. Furnish it was really a challenge, because I WANTED a fireplace, a table with at least two chairs and still remain space to create a semblance of entry. Ambitious and insatiable, you say ...
But the solutions I have offered little at a time (we'll see in detail) and this, for now is the result.

The kitchen

Questo è l'ambiente più grande e, a dire il vero, l'intero progetto è nato da questa idea: la cucina dei mie sogni.
Una difficoltà legata a questo kit è che sono presenti finestre su tutte le pareti tranne quella destra, e arredare diventa complicato, però, secondo me, l'insieme appare anche molto luminoso e realistico. Questo è anche uno dei motivi che mi ha convinto ad utilizzare la parete divisoria, per avere a disposizione una maggiore superficie.
Ugualmente, reputo vincente l'idea di non avere papered le pareti, perchè in questo modo spiccano gli accessori e arredamento.
Nella cucina sono già presenti tantissimi particolari adorabili e credetemi: quando mi sento giù di morale, mi siedo lì di fronte e mi metto ad osservare e osservare, con calma... Una terapia impareggiabile contro lo stress :-)

This is the larger environment and, to tell the truth, the whole project was born from this idea: the kitchen of my dreams.

In the kitchen there are already many details adorable and believe me when I feel down in the dumps, I sit in front of it and I'm going to watch and observe, calmly ... Uninterrupted therapy against stress :-)

Questa è l'adorabile camera da letto: quando lavoro su questa stanza il desiderio di rimpicciolimento si fa più insistente, soprattutto dopo una giornata frenetica e senza grandi soddisfazioni...
Oh, sdraiarsi in quel letto di ferro battuto, socchiudere gli occhi, lasciarsi andare ai suoni della natura (immagino il cottage immerso in una radura in mezzo ad un bosco, un po come quello dei Sette Nani).
Altre difficoltà, in questa camera: il tetto spiovente e i tre timpani, che movimentano lo lo spazio ma lo rendono davvero difficile da sfruttare.

In questa stanza, desideravo non mancasse l'armadio, che secondo me è carico di un fascino particolare, dato che può contenere cose che non si vedono, ma ci sono... Poi, basta aprire le ante e... sorpresa!
Per questo motivo - e anche per garantire un po di privacy nel bagno - ho reputato necessario utilizzare la parte divisoria.

This is the adorable bedroom: when I work on this room, the desire to shrinkage becomes more insistent, especially after a hectic day and without great satisfaction ...
Oh, lie down in this wrought iron bed, close your eyes, let yourself go to the sounds of nature (I guess the cottages nestled in a clearing in the middle of a forest, a bit like the one of the Seven Dwarfs).
Other difficulties, in this room: the sloping roof and three timpani, which move the space but make it really difficult to exploit.

In this room, I wanted to not missing the closet, which I think is a load of charm, since it can contain things which are not seen, but there are ... Then, just open the doors and ... surprise!
For this reason - and also to ensure a bit of privacy in the bathroom - I deemed it necessary to use the partition.

The Bathroom

Il bagno è ugualmente adorabile e ugualmente minuscolo: qualunque altra scelta rispetto al bianco, l'avrebbe reso angusto!
Devo dire che questa è la stanza che necessita di maggiore attenzione ed interventi: come vedete, c'è da coprire la botola con cui ho chiuso il vano scala (mai scelta di tappeto e/o arredo fu più sofferta!); inoltre, ho dovuto creare una mini parete di fondo, per mascherare l'angolo vuoto creato dal timpano centrale, e annullare l'inclinazione della parete che corrisponde al tetto.

The bathroom is equally adorable and equally tiny: any other choice than the white, it would make it narrow!
I must say that this is the room that needs more attention and interventions: as you can see, it is to cover the trap with which I closed the stairwell (never choice of carpet and / or furniture was more painful!), And, I had to create a mini bottom wall, to mask the angle vacuum created by the central gable, and cancel the inclination of the wall that corresponds to the roof.

The front

La facciata, per il momento, ha subito poche variazioni (e poche ne subirà, del resto), poichè ancora non ho deciso su quale base posizionare l'intera casa, sia per renderla più stabile, sia per creare uno spazio da sfruttare come piccolo giardino o aiuola.
Ho aggiunto un po di verde e fiori sul tetto ma ho dubbi su tutto il resto: numero civico, illuminazione, decorazioni architettoniche, persino i fiori alla porta d'ingresso...
Io sono in cerca di ispirazione.

The front, for the moment, has undergone few changes (and a few will suffer, for that matter), because I have not decided on which basis place the entire house, both to make it more stable and create a space to use as a small garden or flowerbed.
I added a bit of greenery and flowers on the roof but I have doubts about everything else: number, lighting, decorations, even the flowers at the front door ...
I am looking for inspiration.

Come vedete, in questo lungo periodo io non sono stata del tutto inattiva, però vedo che nemmeno voi lo siete stati :-)

Questo blog ha raggiunto quota 700 lettori (benvenuti a tutti) ed è tempo di celebrare un give away che questa volta sarà particolarmente divertente :-)

Inoltre, cattivo tempo permettendo (la poca luce è nemica delle belle foto) ho intenzione di riprendere e sviluppare tanti argomenti trascurati, come i libri essenziali per tutti gli amanti delle case di bambola, l'ora del tè e la collezione edoardiana.
Basta inerzia!

As you can see, in this long period I was not completely inactive, but I see that you have not been either :-)
This blog has reached 700 followers (welcome to all) and it is time to celebrate a give away that this time will be particularly fun.
In addition, bad weather permitting (the little light is the enemy of the good pictures) I'm going to resume and develop many neglected topics, such as books essential for all lovers of dollhouses, tea time and Edwardian collection.
Just inertia!

Cari amici, scrivo questo post tra la cottura delle lasagne, gli ultimi ritocchi all'albero di Natale, la corsa agli utlimi regali.
Scrivo questo post perchè vi voglio bene e fate parte della mia famiglia, al pari di fratelli e amici vicini :-)

Non potevo prolungare oltre il mio lungo silenzio, dettato solo dal frenetico ritmo della mia esistenza in questo periodo: sono sempre di corsa, appresso alle necessità quotidiane e mi rimangono davvero poco tempo ed energie per tutto il resto.
Inoltre, Elisa, insieme ai tanti bei disegni e lavoretti con le mollette, porta a casa dalla scuola materna anche una quantità di virus letali per gli adulti!
Da ottobre, siamo stati praticamente sempre malati e anche oggi ho un febbrone, e sto in piedi per puro spirito Natalizio.
Come Babette, sto preparando un pranzo per dodici persone, e non sono molto sicura del sapore del cibo (quanta noce moscata? quanto sale?) perchè il raffreddore mi ha privato del prezioso senso dell'olfatto. Speriamo che nella notte si compia il miracolo :-)

Dear friends, I write this post between the cooking of the pasta, the finishing touches on the Christmas tree, the race for last few gifts.
I write this post because I love you and you are part of my family, like brothers and close friends :-)
I could not extend beyond my long silence, dictated only by the frantic pace of my life at this time: I am always in a hurry, below the daily needs and I have left very little time and energy for anything else.
In addition, Elisa, along with many beautiful sketches and crafts with clothespins, brings home from kindergarten also a number of deadly viruses for adults!
Since October, we were almost always sick and even today I have a high fever, and I'm standing for pure Christmas spirit.
As Babette, I am preparing a dinner for twelve people, and are not very sure of the taste of the food (how much nutmeg? how much salt?) because the cold has deprived me of the precious sense of smell. We hope that in the night it accomplishes the miracle :-)

Sono davvero felice di potervi fare i miei auguri con queste prime immagini dell'interno del piccolo Robin Nest Cottage: ho fatto molti progressi e sto dotando ogni ambiente di una quantità di accessori STREPITOSI!
Per puro caso, ho notato che Linda e io abbiamo entrambe conservato la sorpresa dello champagne rosa per questa occasione speciale: ne sono felice, così potremo brindare più numerosi ;-)
Tra i buoni propositi per il 2013 c'è quello di ritrovare tutto il mio entusiasmo per le piccole cose e condividerle con tutti voi :-)

I'm really happy to be able to do my very best wishes with these first images of the interior of the little Robin Nest Cottage: I made a lot of progress and I'm equipping every room with a number of FANTASTIC accessories!
By chance, I noticed that Linda and I, we both kept the surprise of pink champagne for that special occasion: I'm happy, so we can drink more numerous ;-)

Tea Cup Tuesday - Autumn 1890 circa

Cari amici, benvenuti al mio secondo Tea Cup Tuesday.
Dal mio primo e, fino ad oggi, unico altro post su questo affascinante argomento, tutta l'estate è trascorsa e molte cose sono accadute: posso tranquillamente dire che non si è trattato di una stagione felice perciò accolgo con serenità e gioia l'arrivo dell'Autunno.

Poichè la giornata è magnifica, la luce dolce e carezzevole, e il buon umore mi assiste, mi sembra arrivato il momento di mettere mano alla macchina fotografica e condividere con tutti voi questo altro tesoro della mia collezione.

Questa consta attualmente di 18 tea trio (tazza, piattino e piatto da dolce) e, secondo le mie ricerche (non sempre facili, come vedrete), essi sono databili più o meno tra il 1870 e il 1915.
Quando si inizia una collezione è importante darsi delle regole, soprattutto per non incorrere nel pericolo di acquistare alla rinfusa, diminuendo la coerenza e il valore della propria collezione.
La mia idea era e rimane quella di mettere insieme tutto l'occorrente per servire un Edwardian Tea party e, anche volendo essere molto generosi con i dati storici, l'Età Edoardiana, con il suo naturale retaggio Vittoriano, si considera conclusa al più tardi nel 1918, con la fine della Prima Guerra Mondiale.
Volendo essere più precisi, essa và dal 1901 (morte della Regina Vittoria e conseguente ascesa al trono di suo figlio Edoardo VII) al 1910 (morte di Edoardo).
Ma è naturale che l'aura di questa epoca d'oro, di bellezza ed eleganza, come dicevamo la scorsa volta, perdurò per molti anni ancora ed è quindi abbastanza corretto considerare di epoca edoardiana anche una tazza del 1915.

Dear friends, welcome to my second Tea Cup Tuesday.
From my first and, at this day, the only other post on this fascinating topic, the whole summer has passed and many things have happened: I can safely say that it was not a happy season so I accept with serenity and joy  the arrival of Autumn.
Since the day is beautiful, light sweet and gentle, and good humor will help me, I think the time came to put my hand to the camera and share with all of you this other treasure in my collection.
This currently consists of 18 tea trio (cup, saucer and cake plate) and, according to my research (not always easy, as you will see), they can be dated more or less between 1870 and 1915.
When you start a collection it is important to set rules, especially to avoid the risk of buying in bulk, reducing the coherence and value of your collection.
My idea was and is to bring together everything you need to serve an Edwardian Tea Party, and even willing to be very generous with the historical data, the Edwardian Age, with its natural Victorian heritage, shall be closed no later than in 1918, with the end of the First World War.
To be more exact, it goes from 1901 (death of Queen Victoria and subsequent ascended the throne of her son Edward VII) to 1910 (death of Edward).
But it is natural that the aura of this golden age, beauty and elegance, as we said last time, lasted for many years and is therefore quite correct to consider to the Edwardian era even a cup of 1915.

Un po' di storia

La storia del tè è davvero affascinate e affonda le sue radici e origini in un lontanissimo passato, in Cina e in Giappone, ben prima che si intrecciasse con la storia Inglese, nella metà del 1600.
Molte sono le leggende legate alla scoperta del tè come bevanda: qui non ci dilungheremo, basti sapere che in tutti i Paesi in cui il tè è diventato popolare, fu bevuto inizialmente per le sue proprietà medicinali e non come corroborante indulgenza.
I Portoghesi e gli Olandesi furono i primi commercianti a trasportare regolarmente il tè fino ai porti di Francia, Olanda e coste baltiche, a partire dal 1610.
Piccoli quantitativi probabilmente filtrarono in Inghilterra, come risultato dei viaggi di mercanti e membri della corte, ma non si registra vendita di tè in Inghilterra prima del 1658.
Con i mercantili di tè, cominciarono ad arrivare naturalmente anche teiere e ciotole da Cina e Giappone.
La qualità della fine porcellana emozionò a tal punto i vasai europei, che questi cominciarono a sperimentare nuove formule per cercare di eguagliare la qualità inarrivabile delle porcellane orientali.
Fu nel 1660 che la parola "china" venne usata per la prima volta in riferimento alle stoviglie importate dall'Oriente.
Quando il tè arrivò per la prima volta in Inghilterra, veniva venduto sfuso dagli apotecari e mercanti, ed divenne una bevanda diffusa nelle popolari "coffee - houses", luogo di incontro per gli uomini di tutte le estrazioni sociali.
Anche le donne bevevano il tè, ma solo nella privacy delle loro case.

A little history.

 
The history of tea is really fascinating and has its roots and origins in the distant past, in China and Japan, well before intertwined with the history of English in the mid 1600s.
There are many legends related to the discovery of tea as a beverage: we will not dwell here, suffice it to say that in all the Countries where tea became popular, was initially drank for its medicinal properties and not as refreshing indulgence.
The Portuguese and the Dutch traders were the first to carry the tea regularly to ports in France, the Netherlands and the Baltic coasts, starting in 1610.
Small amounts probably seeped in England, as a result of the voyages of merchants and members of the court, but is not registered the sale of tea in England before 1658.
With tea merchant, began to arrive of course, teapots and bowls from China and Japan.
The quality of fine china thrilled to the point the Europeans potters, then they began to experiment new ways to try to match the unmatched brilliance of oriental porcelain.
It was in 1660 that the word "china" was used for the first time in reference to the dishes imported from the East.
When the tea arrived for the first time in Britain, was sold loose by the apothecaries and merchants, and it became a popular drink in the "coffee - houses", a meeting place for people of all walks of life.
Even the women drank tea, but only in the privacy of their homes.

Durante il diciasettesimo secolo il prezzo del tè era estremamente alto e aumentò maggiormente quando Carlo II introdusse una pesante tassa, perciò esso era da considerarsi una comodità davvero rara, molto al di là delle possibilità delle famiglie di ceto medio, ma contrabbando, adulterazioni, e mercato nero resero più facili le cose...
Quando, agli inizi del diciottesimo secolo, vennero chiuse le coffe houses, i luoghi di incontro per bere il tè si spostarono nei magnifici giardini pubblici e vennero aperti anche alle donne e ai bambini.
Alla metà del diciottesimo secolo Il tè era diventato la bevanda più popolare in Inghilterra.
Esso era bevuto a qualunque ora del giorno e della sera, grazie anche alla consuetidune, da parte della upper class, di servire, eleganti tazze di tè, durante il dopocena.
Agli inizi del diciannovesimo secolo, la Duchessa di Bedford (damma di compagnia della Regina Vittoria) si dice abbia servito per la prima volta il tè del pomeriggio accompagnato da un pasto leggero, introducendo così la consuetudine che è ancora parte integrante della vita degli inglesi.
Poichè il nuovo trend divenne tanto popolare, le manifatture di porcellana e argento cominciarono a produrre una immensa varietà di equipaggiamento per il tè, che comprendeva teiere, zuccheriere, lattiere, ciotole, tazze e piattini, cucchiaini e vassoi, pinze da zucchero, caddies...

Il primo tea shop di Londra, aprì nel 1884 e la moda di consumare il tè fuori casa continuò per tutto il periodo vittoriano e crebbe maggiormente durante l'epoca Edoardiana con l'istituzione di eleganti sale da tè allietate da orchestra e danze durante l'inverno, e scampagnate in bicicletta d'estate.
Dopo un breve declino, il rito del tè è di nuovo in auge e vecchie teiere e tovaglie ricamate sono state tirate fuori dai polverosi bauli conservati in soffitta: la gente sta di nuovo gustando il piacere di sedere intorno ad un tavolo ben apparecchiato per sorbire la nera e fumante bevanda con beneficio del corpo e dell'anima :-)

During the seventeenth century, the price of tea was extremely high and increased further when Charles II introduced a heavy tax, so it was considered a very rare comfort, far beyond the reach of middle-class families, but smuggling, adulteration, and black market, made things easier ...
When, at the beginning of the eighteenth century, coffee houses were closed, meeting places for drinking tea moved in the magnificent public gardens and were open also to women and children.
The mid-eighteenth century, tea had become the most popular drink in England.
It was drunk at any time of the day or evening thanks to consuetidune by the upper class to serve elegant cups of tea during the after dinner.

The first tea shop in London was opened in 1884, and the fashion of the tea consumed outside the home continued throughout the Victorian period and grew the most during the Edwardian era, with the creation of elegant tea rooms enlivened by orchestra and dancing during winter, and cycling and picnics in the summer.
After a brief decline, the ritual of tea is back in vogue and old teapots and tablecloths were pulled out of the dusty trunks stored in the attic: the people are again enjoying the pleasure of sitting around a table well prepared to put up with the black and steaming drink with the benefit of body and soul :-)

Il trio che vi mostro oggi risale alla tarda epoca Vittoriana e ne è un magnifico esempio di lusso e sobrietà insieme.
Tutte le superfici sono riccamente decorate a mano con ramage di rosa canina, fiori e bacche, e tutti i bordi e il manico sono dorati, uno strato corposo e denso di caldo oro.
Ho scelto questa tazza per i suoi colori caldi e dolci, molto autunnali, nonostante la rosa canina fiorisca da maggio a luglio...

The trio that I show you today dates back to the late Victorian era and is a magnificent example of luxury and elegance together.
All surfaces are richly hand decorated with foliage of wild rose, flowers and berries, and all the edges and the handle are golden, full-bodied and dense layer of warm gold.
I chose this cup for its warm colors and soft, very autumnal, despite the wild rose bloom from May to July ...

Su nessuno dei tre pezzi compare il marchio della manifattura ma io sospetto (e spero) che si tratti di Doulton, poichè la lettera A sul fondo della tazza, unita al numero del modello, collocherebbero questo trio esattamente alla data comunicata dal venditore al momento dell'acquisto.
Se qualcuno dovesse avere maggiorni informazioni a riguardo,  sarei grata se volesse condividerle con me.

On any of the three pieces appears the mark of manufacture but I suspect (and hope) that this is Doulton, as the letter A on the bottom of the cup, combined with the model number, this trio would place exactly on the date communicated by the seller at the time of purchase.
If someone were to have more information about it, I would be grateful if you would share with me.

Quando si apparecchia la tavola per un tè Edoardiano, tutti i dettagli sono importanti: il tovagliolo non deve essere di carta. Oggi io ho utilizzato un'altro dei fazzoletti con il mio monogramma, magnificamente ricamato, circa 1900.

La tovaglia dovrà essere bianca, di lino o di cotone.

Cari tutti, vecchi e nuovi lettori (grazie di esservi aggiunti nonostante la prolungata e reiterata latitanza), stamattina mi sono imposta di alzarmi all'alba, per cercare di leggere e scrivere qualcosa, fare qualche saluto, partecipare a qualche giveaway, insomma: blogging :-)
Ah, che bello... 

Il prossimo 17, Elisa rientrerà a scuola e, fino a quel momento, avrò poche speranze di potermi dedicare agli aggiornamenti (che ci sono stati) sul Robin Nest Cottage.
Inoltre, ci saranno tanti post (io spero) riguardo al Tea Cup Tuesday e Edwardian Tea Party, poichè durante l'anno ho sviluppato di molto questa mia passione, e oramai vanto una discreta collezione che merita di essere condivisa :-) 

Trovo che questa passione per il tè si sposi benissimo con le miniature, poichè si riescono a creare delle piccole e deliziose scene di grande ispirazione...

Cari amici, stamattina ho avuto la meravigliosa sorpresa di trovare un nuovo post di un' amica che da tanto tempo mancava dal blog. Come sempre accade, è stato un grande sollievo perchè, nel corso di un anno, ho avuto modo spesso di chiedermi che cosa le fosse accaduto, senza trovare il coraggio di indagare più approfonditamente...
Del resto, avrei dovuto scrivere questo post almeno un anno fa, quando la sorte mi assegnò di vincere il favoloso giveaway di Marie. Ho sempre rimandato (come tante altre cose), nell'attesa di avere un contesto adeguato per mostrare questo adorabile tavolo per il giardinaggio, così rappresentativo dell'animo romantico e delicato di Marie...
E inoltre, a ben guardare, l'idea di costruire il mio Robin Nest Cottage maturò proprio dopo aver lungamente ammirato l'adorabile Dragonfly Cottage di Marie, più di due anni fa.
Perciò, vedete, c'è un filo rosso che si dipana attraverso il tempo e lo spazio, che lega queste immagini al piccolo meraviglioso mondo di Marie  (clicca) :-)
Poichè, nel frattempo, tanti nuovi amici si sono uniti a questo blog, sarà bellissimo per essi andare a scoprire il talento e la dolcezza della nostra amica belga, se già non la conoscono.

Dear friends, this morning I had the wonderful surprise to find a new post of a friend who was missing from the blog for so long. And also, on closer examination, the idea of ​​building my own Robin Nest Cottage matured after long admired the adorable Marie's Dragonfly Cottage, more than two years ago.

Since, in the meantime, many new friends have joined this blog, it will be wonderful for them to go to discover the talent and the sweetness of our Belgian friend, if they do not already know.

Colgo l'occasione per annunciare ufficialmente conclusi i lavori di costruzione del mio Cottage.
Sono molto orgogliosa di essere riuscita a rimanere nei tempi che mi ero imposta, nonostante (e forse proprio grazie a) l'assoluta mancanza di tempo!
Questa settimana ho preso contatti con una bravissima artista italiana a cui ho commissionato un lavoro che giustificherà la scelta del nome "The Robin Nest".
Purtroppo la sua waiting list è molto nutrita, perciò sia io sia voi, dovremo attendere la fine di ottobre per scoprire la piccola sorpresa :-)
Qui in Italia ci si prepara al Ferragosto: città semideserte, negozi chiusi, caldo canicolare... La situazione ideale per cominciare ad arredare una casa delle bambole :-)

La mia situazione personale è solo in leggerissima ripresa, perciò e già un grande miglioramento. Grazie a tutti per il supporto e l'incoraggiamento.

I take this opportunity to announce officially concluded the construction of my Cottage. I am very proud to be able to stay in the times that I had set, despite (and perhaps precisely because) the absolute lack of time!
This week, I made ​​contact with a talented Italian artist to whom I have commissioned a work that will justify the choice of the name "The Robin Nest."
Unfortunately, her waiting list is nourished, so both me and you, have to wait for the end of October to discover the little surprise :-)
Here in Italy we are preparing to Ferrafosto: half-deserted city, shops closed, hot heat wave ... The ideal situation to start decorating a dollhouse :-)

My personal situation is only slight recovery, and therefore already a big improvement. Thanks to everyone for the support and encouragement.

Ah, se queste pareti potessero parlare...

Racconterebbero delle mille, piccole tragedie capitate tra colla che non incolla, angoli che non si chiudono, lati che non coincidono, fessure che si aprono ovunque, spessori inopportuni che si creano appena vi girate un momento... Ma , alla fine, ecco il nido quasi pronto :-)
Ho lavorato con uno stato d'animo strano, per nulla serena e concentrata, ma allo stesso tempo febbrilmente, come se si trattasse di una questione di vitale importanza. E forse, è proprio così.
Devo dire che questo kit, davvero intrigante nella quantità e completezza dei dettagli, non è stato per nulla facile da montare e presenta diverse imperfezioni che saranno da colmare con la fantasia, se non con la maestria :-)
Anche la scelta di dipingere tutti i componenti prima dell'assemblaggio, si è rivelata nefasta in più di una occasione: il colore crea spessori e gli spessori creano disastri!
E allora, giù di carta vetrata, cutter, e anche unghie e denti, per cercare di far tornare le cose!
In più, metteteci la quasi assoluta mancanza di tempo e capirete quanto io stessa sia stupita che il risultato sia così carino, in modo quasi commovente :-)

I must say that this kit, very intriguing in the amount of detail and completeness, was not at all easy to assemble and has several flaws that will be filled with fantasy, if not with the skill :-)

Also the choice of all the paint components before assembly, has proved disastrous in more than one occasion: the color create thickness and thicknesses create disasters!

And then, down of sandpaper, cutter, and even tooth and nail to try to return things!

In addition, put the almost complete lack of time and you'll understand what I myself is surprised that the result is so cute, almost touching :-)

Ora, rimane la spinosa questione di ricoprire il tetto con le tegole rispettandone le forme e aggiungere gli ultimi dettagli architettonici forniti con il kit e dopo...
Largo alla fantasia :-)
Lo spazio è sempre troppo poco e ancora non ho preso decisioni definitive riguardo a dove (e se) posizionare le pareti divisorie; però, considerate le finestre che si trovano su tutte le pareti, sarà, credo, necessario, per aggiungere superficie utile.
Vago in giro per la rete alla ricerca di idee.
Vorrei fare mille cose ed è una fortuna se la mattina riesco a malapena a pettinarmi, sigh :-(
Vi abbraccio tutti e mi scuso, mi scuso con tutti per non avere più nemmeno il tempo di scrivere commenti, nè quasi di leggere. Sapere che ci siete, intorno al mondo, è un grande conforto, e spero di poter presto tornare ad esserci anche io.
