La casa Georgiana - The Georgian House

Cari amici, innanzitutto vorrei ringraziare tutti coloro che seguono sempre questo blog con tanto affetto pur essendo di madrelingua differente dalla mia: so che ultimamente il gadget "Google Translator" ha dato filo da torcere più o meno a tutti, rendendo impossibile la lettura, perciò ho deciso di inserire il testo anche in inglese.
Io amo molto la mia lingua, l'italiano, che mi dà la possibilità di esprimermi al meglio, ma naturalmente diventa del tutto inutile se nessuno (o quasi) è in grado di leggere...
Mi scuso fin da ora per gli eventuali errori (e orrori) di ortografia e sintassi, dovuti alla conoscenza scolastica dell'inglese da parte mia, che rende il lavoro di traduzione arduo, anche quando si può contare su Google Traduttore...
Spero però che questa fatica serva a ricompensare un poco la stima e l'interesse che sempre dimostrate nei miei confronti :-)

Già a partire da qualche post addietro, potrete trovare la taduzione, in modo da riprendere il filo della lettura e delle ultime novità che mi riguardano.

In questi giorni di vacanza io mi sono dedicata prevalentemente allo studio di materiale vario riguardante la casa delle bambole in stile Georgiano: nella prima foto sono mostrati i tre libri che ho acquistato su Amazon su tale argomento. Nessuno di loro è da considerarsi esaustivo, ma insieme possono costituire una buona base di partenza.

In these days of vacation I have dedicated myself primarily to the study of various materials on the Georgian doll's house: in the first photo are shows the three books I purchased on Amazon on this subject. None of them has to be considered exhaustive, but together they may be a good starting point.

Come ho gia avuto modo di spiegare, io ho deciso di dare vita alla nuova casa delle bambole in stile Georgiano (1714 - 1830) perchè sono assolutamente affascinata dall'eleganza formale che ha caratterizzato questo periodo, in Inghilterra.
Ho la fortuna di seguire con interesse i tre blog di Irene, la graziosa Signora scozzese, che si è gentilmente offerta di procurare per me il prezioso materiale riguardante le tante stupende proprietà georgiane che si trovano nel suo Paese, come fonte di ispirazione: da diversi giorni sogno ad occhi aperti sugli opuscoli che mi ha mandato, ricchi di immagini e di notizie.

As I have explained, I have decided to give life to the new doll's house in Georgian style because I am absolutely fascinated by the elegance formal that characterized this period (1714 - 1830) in England.
I am fortunate to follow with interest the three blogs of Irene, the gracious Scotland Lady who kindly offered to procure for me the valuable material regarding the many beautiful Georgian property located in her country, as a source of inspiration: for several days, I daydream about the brochures that she sent to me, full of pictures and news.

Ispirazione per la nuova casa

Cari tutti, io sono dispiaciuta per il lungo silenzio e spero che nessuno si sia troppo preoccupato.
In realtà, queste ultime settimane sono state dedicate quasi esclusivamente alla famiglia: le giornate volano e rimane davvero poco tempo da dedicare alle miniature.

Nonostante questo, le novità ci sono, come sapete, e prendono piano piano vita, come bozzoli di idee...

La nuova casa delle bambole è arrivata: 55 kg. di MDF senza un senso preciso!
Devo dire di essere rimasta davvero spiazzata dalla mole che mi sono trovata di fronte e dalla prospettiva del lavoro futuro: venti anni mi sono sembrati un periodo di tempo perfino ottimistico!

Trattandosi di un kit, per il momento mi sono limitata a fare la ricognizione dei pezzi, per prendere confidenza con ciascuno (come suggerito nelle scarne istruzioni di montaggio).
Da questa massa confusa dovrà sorgere una palazzina di città di epoca Georgiana, l'epoca che più di tutte ha esaltato la bellezza e l'ordine, l'essenzialità delle forme e il rigore dei volumi.
Io sono assolutamente affascinata da questo genere di case (anche in scala 1/1) e spero di riuscire a onorare dignitosamente gli intenti degli ispiratori di questo stile.
Naturalmente, è obbligatorio prepararsi e studiare, fare indigestione di immagini che educano e ispirano: oggi vorrei condividere con voi questi due dipinti della scuola inglese, della metà del Settecento, per dare un piccolo saggio della sobrietà con cui veniva interpretato l'ambiente domestico, per quanto ricco.

Il fascino che emana dall'insieme della composizione fa passare in secondo piano i musi lunghi dei padroni di casa, non trovate?

Nelle due scene, sono presenti già numerosi elementi essenziali: il tavolato in legno, il ricco tappeto, il tavolo centrale tondo, il grande camino, il parafuoco ricamato (o dipinto), i mobili disposti lungo le pareti, il clavicembalo...

Quanta grazia e bellezza!

C'è l'eleganza senza l'ostentazione, che invece diventò un punto fermo dell'epoca Vittoriana,, arrivando a sconfinare in eccessi decorativi e accumulo di oggetti e arredi.

Sto collezionando diversi libri sull'epoca georgiana e sulle case di bambola in questo stile, e presto analizzeremo in dettaglio i vari elementi, così, con l'aiuto dei vostri commenti, mi sembrerà di essere meno sola di fronte a questa impresa titanica :-)

Da diversi giorni sono impossibilitata a pubblicare i miei post con Windows, ora provo con Firefox (idea trovata sul forum di assistenza); spero di riuscire a pubblicare perchè, da quando è nato il mio blog, questo è il più frustrante problema che mi sia capitato!

The new doll's house has come: 55 kg. MDF without a precise sense!
I must say I was really puzzled by the amount that I have faced and the prospect of future work: twenty years seemed to me a period of time even optimistic!
Being a kit, for the moment I simply do reconnaissance of the pieces, to become familiar with each (as suggested in the sparse installation instructions).
From this confused mass of a building will be built Georgian city, the era that most exalted of all the beauty and order, the essential style and rigor of the volumes.
I am absolutely fascinated by this kind of houses (also in scale 1 / 1) and I hope to honor the intent of inspiring dignity of this style.
Of course, it is mandatory to prepare and study, indigestion images that educate and inspire: today I want to share with you these two paintings of the English school, half of the eighteenth century, to give a small sample of sobriety with which the home was being interpreted, as rich.
The fascination that emanates from the overall composition is overshadowing the long faces of the owners, do not you?
In two scenes, there are already several essential elements: the wooden planks, the rich carpet, round the central table, the fireplace, the embroidered fire screen (or painted), the furniture along the walls, the harpsichord ...
How much grace and beauty!
There is elegance without ostentation, which instead became a staple of the Victorian era,, reaching over into excess accumulation of decorative objects and furniture.
I've been collecting several books on the age and Georgian dolls' houses in this style, and soon we will analyze in detail the various elements, so with the help of your comments, I seem to be less alone in front of this mammoth task: - )
