Titanic's victim pocket watch: it stopped a few minutes after the sinking. |
"Nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!
E'en though it be a cross that raiseth me,
still all my song shall be,
nearer, my God to thee
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!
Though like the wanderer, the sun gone down,
darkness be over me, my rest a stone;
yet in my dreams I'd be
nearer, my God to thee
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!"
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!"

For all those who, like me, can not but think of the cold starry night in which all happened, where it all ended...
It is good to remember them. What a nightmare it must have been.

it was a terrible tragedy, what those poor people had to suffer through.
RispondiEliminaHello Flora
RispondiEliminaThat hymn is such an appropriate one in reference to the victims of the Titanic, both those who survived as
well as those who perished. To be out in the middle of the deep dark ocean with no other hope of rescue except God; .... surely it was a life changing experience.
