Hallo everyone!

Ho realizzato entrambe. Voi, quale preferite?

A long time (again!) since my last post but I'm here again, after a beginning of Spring prey to the flu (along with the rest of my family, and all of Italy, I would say!).
Now the worst is over and I can return to work.
The two chairs are a custom order: the lovely Lady who have requested them was undecided between light mauve and green ... I achieved both. You, which do you prefer?

The next work, already in progress, will be the furnishing for a greenhouse in Gustavian style: so much blue and dove gray, and a touch of gold.
Then, I will devote myself to spill the Robin's Nest Cottage and remove dust it from top to bottom. In this regard, I would like to know which devices you adopted to protect your doll houses by the hateful accumulation of dust ... I'll have to make up my mind to build a plexiglass case but, for some reason, the thing disgusts me! Under a glass, it seems to me a dead thing ...
Also, I'm very focused on the annual Victorian Picnic La Grande Jatte, which takes place every year in my city, the last Sunday of May. This year I will wear a beautiful reproduction of a 1875s bustle dress: I'm looking for all the right accessories, but it is not easy, because I am a perfectionist, as you know, and I'm not easily settle.
I will never show photos of myself, but I'll be happy to take pictures of the dress, which really deserves :-)

me

A presto, amici miei

Of course, there are still many things that keep me busy every day: my mom - wife - daughter job; my passion for cooking and good food (now I'm studying the cheeses); my health and my well-being (go running, doing workout, hiking) and of course, tea
I would start telling all this through my miniature house and hope to succeed :-)

See you soon, my friends

  1. Hi Flora! It is so good to see another post and know you are well... in spite of the flu which is making its "rounds"! I think your chairs are lovely, (I like the pink one... it feels so warm and embracing!)
As for the dust problem with the American style houses.... it is a Problem! I agree with you, I don't like to cover the house up and make it like a museum exhibit... I want to play and add things and move them around...! Maybe it is like RL houses... it just needs a "Spring Cleaning" every year! I know some people work hard to change the kits and add a hinged wall to the back... I have not done that, but I am tempted! Always I want to get/look inside..... so it stays open.
I hope you have a wonderful time in your Antique Gown.... and of course, tea!

  3. Hello Flora,

Yes, it isn't hard to keep busy, is it? ;) You seem full of new plans and ideas and I can relate!

I have two glass cabinets that protect some of my beloved items from (some) dust, but it isn't large enough for any of my dollhouses...

Some time ago I would cover my rabbit dollhouse with a large towel. I suppose this might protect it a little, but in general it stands open, so I can see what is going on in there and what the inhabitants are up to. ;)

Generally, I like the colour pink very much, but in this case I prefer the green armchair. It is stunning. :)

    Kind regards,
    Nina

  5. Your armchairs are really beautiful, my favourite is the green one.
I don't protect my dollhouses and there is dust like in a real house...

  7. It's lovely to hear you are doing well and looking forward to more mini time. Both chairs are lovely but I'm more of a green person than a pink one!

I flick a feather duster over the outsides when cleaning and the insides get a bit of a blow occasionally - job done!

I like your ideas for the greenhouse - I'm looking forward to that one.
